Our Minister of Music, Brother Ricky Moore, has been with Mount Olive Baptist Church since September, 1998.  God has blessed him with a gift to offer praise through music.  Hymns are a great part of his ministry. 'Amazing Grace Shall Always be My Song of Praise.'

As a young musician, Brother Moore studied pipe organ and vocal music, as a music education major, at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri.  Upon completion of his academic studies, he married Sister Del Moore in October, 1980. 

Upon moving to Texas, Brother Moore played for several churches, community functions and baseball games for the Texas Rangers ball club. 

In 1998, after coming to Mount Olive, Brother Moore attended Southern Bible Institute in Dallas, Texas and completed the Basic Biblical Course in the year 2000. 

Brother Moore is responsible for the selection of music, as well as, the preparation of the singing units and musical staff for worship.

Mount Olive Baptist Church is blessed with an abundance of musical talent!  We have three singing units.  Each representing a unique musical style but all having one thing in common and that is a desire to magnify and glorify the Lord by singing praises unto him.
