At the Mount Olive Baptist Church, we believe that God blesses us both spiritually, physically, mentally and monetarily. We are to exercise good stewardship of those things He has entrusted to our care. One such example of good stewardship is sharing our gifts with the church for the advancement of the ministry of Jesus Christ.  

We believe that the sharing of our monetary gifts with the church is a form of worship and an exercise of good stewardship. We believe that the amount thereof is dictated to the individual by the Holy Spirit.

The Mount Olive Baptist Church does not teach TITHING as a method of sharing monetarily with the church. We believe in "Grace Giving", which is giving according what God has purposed in the heart of the individual. God said in His word;

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

The widow who gave her mites gave more than those who gave according to the Law not because of the amount but because of the spirit in which she gave (Luke 21:1-3).
