S. W. A. T.
Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.) Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick. When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
What is S.W.A.T.?
S.W.A.T. stands for Servants With A Testimony.
Any illness, if untreated, can be a threat to our mortal existence. However, there are certain diseases that are especially associated with both our mortal demise and long-term medical treatment. Among these are Cancer, Heart Disease, Alzheimer/Dementia, Kidney Disease, AIDS, Sickle Cell Anemia and others. Contracting such a condition will greatly alter one’s life, lifestyle, mental stability and in many cases spiritual disposition. The S.W.A.T. TEAM at the Mount Olive Baptist Church is here to help cope with the change. If you or a loved one is experiencing the life altering changes of a catastrophic disease or if you would just like to come out and support those who are, come join us every third (3rd) Saturday morning at 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at the Mount Olive Baptist Church in Room 230. For more information please contact the church office. For more information about catastrophic diseases, treatments and prevention please contact the Center for Disease Control and Prevention or The American Cancer Society.
