On Sundays, we have a morning worship service that begins at 7:30 a.m. and a mid-day worship service that starts at 10:25 a.m. in the Main Sanctuary. We also have a Next Level Worship service for your young adults and youth, 7th Grade through 12th Grade, that is held in the fellowship hall. We also have Wednesday night worship service that starts at 6:30 p.m.

If you are a first-time visitor, please turn on your hazard lights so that a member of our parking team can guide you to the visitor parking area. When you arrive, you will be greeted by a member of our hospitality team who will guide you to our visitor’s registration, where you will receive a complimentary gift bag from the church.

Your children are welcome to attend services in the sanctuary if you desire. Otherwise, we welcome them to our KidZone. You will need to check in your children. We’d like your check in experience to go smoothly, so please arrive at least 20 minutes early before service starts. Our Sunday morning service starts at 7:30 a.m. and our Sunday mid-day service starts at 10:25 a.m. Sunday school starts at 9:20 a.m.

Our KidZone is for children PreK-4 through 6th Grade. Our nursery is for children ages 2 to 3 years old. When you arrive, a member of our hospitality team will help you get where you need to go. We’ll lead you to our KidZone where you will be shown how to check-in your kids. You’ll be given a unique “parent security tag” that helps us identify you when you return to pick your kids up. Be sure you keep this tag and have it available when picking up your children.

Great! We’d love to meet your group and learn more about them and what brought them to Mount Olive for worship. We ask that you please contact the church office one week prior to your attendance so we can provide special seating for your group. You may call the church at 817-274-3644 or email us at info@mountolivebc.net.

Interested in becoming a member? We thank God that you have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and that He has led you here to become a part of the Mount Olive Church family. We encourage you to attend Sunday Worship Services and Sunday School, Wednesday Night Prayer and Mid-Week Service, and the Mount Olive Bible Institute – for extra strength, prayer, fellowship, and the Word.

How to Become a Member

The doors of the church are always open. At the end of each worship service, you will have an opportunity to come forward to join the church. If you have not yet attended this class, please prayerfully consider joining us. To sign up for New Member Orientation (click here).

At Mount Olive, we believe that Baptism is an outward expression of your faith in Christ as a Christian. If you have already been baptized after receiving Jesus as your Savior, you do not have to be re-baptized at Mount Olive. At MOBC, we do not accept infant baptism or any baptism that occurs before the child believes for themselves. Additionally, the Lord’s Supper will not be served to any child whose baptism precedes their belief.

Baptism Orientation is held every 1st Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in Room 107.

Ministers
The Bible teaches that God has specific roles for men and women in the church. The office of minister as defined by the word of God has been exclusively assigned to the men of the Church. For this reason, the Mount Olive Baptist Church does not recognize nor ordain women preachers, pastors or ministers of any denomination. (I Timothy 2:12-15; 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9).

Weddings
Couples must complete marriage counseling with one of the staff ministers before the wedding. The marriage license must be recognized by the state and received by the minister prior to the wedding ceremony. Because the bible states that Christians are not to marry non-Christians, the Mount Olive Baptist Church does not perform inter-faith marriages (II Corinthians 6:14). Couples who were formerly married may only utilize the main sanctuary for their ceremony if both parties’ former spouse is deceased, however, other facilities are available. (Romans 7:2).

Wakes & Funerals
There are no funerals or wakes on Sunday. Wakes will begin no later than 7:00 PM and will continue to no later than 8:00 PM. Caskets are opened during wakes and at the start of the actual funeral service. After the service has begun and the family has been seated, the casket will be closed and will not be reopened. (I Corinthians
15:51-58; I Thessalonians 4:13-18).

The ministerial staff attends funerals (schedule permitting) for church members and their immediate families. The ministerial staff doesn’t attend funerals that are more than three hours (driving distance) from the church.

Baptism
At the Mount Olive Baptist Church, water baptism is by immersion. Baptism is not to be regarded as a means of salvation but as evidence of obedience, identification and fellowship with the Lord. We do not baptize anyone (adult or children) until they have made a formal profession of faith.

Those who are going to be baptized must complete baptism orientation before being baptized. On the day in which you will be baptized, we ask that you bring an extra set of clothing (clothing for baptism and clothing for the remainder of the ceremony). Baptism orientation for those 12 yrs old or older is held in Room 107 at 9:00 a.m. every first Sunday (unless otherwise specified). (Matthew 3; 28:19-20; Acts 2:38, 41, 8:12, 35-38).
