Mount Olive Music
We believe in the ministry of the Gospel in the word and in song. The music ministry is a staple of the Mount Olive Baptist Church, whereas the word of God is lifted up in praise in both choral and instrumental. Please join us as we lift up the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We have a Senior Choir, Male Chorus, and Youth Choir. Details of each are listed below.
Senior Choir
Membership
Membership in this choir is open to members of Mount Olive Baptist Church who are at least 18 years of age and who have completed the New Members Orientation classes. To join this choir simply attend one of the rehearsals or contact the church office for additional information.
Rehearsals
Rehearsals are held every Saturday at 11:15 AM, except for the Saturday before the first Sunday, in the Choir Room behind the Sanctuary on the first level of the church.
Musicals
Musicals are generally held the fourth Sunday in October but are subject to change with prior notice.
Male Chorus
Membership
Membership in this choir is open to all male members of Mount Olive Baptist Church who are at least 18 years of age and who have completed the New Members Orientation classes. To join this choir simply attend one of the rehearsals or contact the church office for additional information.
Rehearsals
Rehearsals are held every Saturday at 9:30 AM in the Choir Room behind the Sanctuary, except for the Saturday before the first Sunday of each month.
Musicals
Musicals are generally held the second Sunday in June, but are subject to change with prior notice.
Youth Choir
Membership
Membership in this choir is open to members of Mount Olive Baptist Church who are at least 8 years of age and up to 21 years of age. They must have also have completed either the Children's Church Orientation or the New Members Orientation classes. To join simply attend one of the rehearsals or contact the church office
for additional information.
Rehearsals
Rehearsals are scheduled to be held on the Saturday before the 2nd Sunday and the Saturday before the 4th Sunday. There is no scheduled rehearsal on the other Saturdays in the month unless so designated by the Minister of Music or Director. Scheduled rehearsal times are from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM in the Choir Room behind the Sanctuary.
Musicals

Women's Chorus
Membership
Membership to the Women's Chorus is open to women of Mount Olive Baptist Church at least 21 years of age. They must have also completed New Members Orientation classes. The Women's Chorus performs annually on Women's Day and on special occasions as necessary.
